Work place charging points make long distance business journeys viable and allow you to include a fleet of low emission vehicles as well as encouraging your staff to switch to electric. It always pays to offer staff perks for working for you.
As a business you can find support through the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) which is a voucher based scheme to help cover the cost, so long as your premises has the sufficient parking
· The WCS reduces the purchase and installation cost of a new workplace charging station (single socket) by 75% (capped at £350 per socket)
· A business can claim for up to a max of 40 charge points (as of April 2020)
· You can't retrospectively claim for existing charge points on your premises.
· You must have the charging station installed by an OLEV-approved professional such as Premium Services Electrical.
